Job Duties:

The RFID Implementation Project Manager is responsible for overseeing Miles RFID Asset Tracking implementations with-in North America, to ensure a successful implementation for both the customer and Miles Technologies.

As Project Manager you will lead a combination of internal teams to implement the Solution, including RFID hardware, RFID tags, RFID RealView software configuration and customization to ensure customer satisfaction and success. The candidate must be comfortable and experienced working with the customer project stakeholders and:

• Work with the customer and Miles sales team to define project goals and objectives
• Manage the client relationship, and serve as the clients main point of contact for the project.
• Plan, organize, lead, and monitor the activities of the project teams.
• Develop project plans for assigned projects, including work breakdown and milestones, and maintain overall control of the schedule and the delivery of all expected deliverables.
• Track any decisions made regarding requests for scope changes and outstanding items.
• Provide clear direction and develop mechanisms for team accountability. Work to build project team effectiveness, and project efficiency. Provide technical leadership to the project team.
• Communicate the project status both to the Client and internally to stakeholders.
• Ensure project milestones are achieved - timely resolution and/or escalation of issues; assure appropriate priorities are assigned to critical project tasks; ensure team clearly understands milestones.
• Manage the project budget, pro-actively track actual cost against estimated cost, and deliver projects within budget.
• Lead Requirement meetings with the customer to determine and document the customer's business needs and project details.
• Document and itemize all software and operational changes required to meet the project objectives.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Position is located in Miles Technology Integration Center in Addison, IL and all applicants must live within the greater Chicagoland area
• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in the disciplines of Computer Science or Engineering.
• 5 - 7 years experience in IT Project Management,
• Knowledge and experience implementing RFID software and hardware preferred.
• Proven work experience in the areas of computer science or engineering, preferred.
• Must be an active team player willing to do "whatever it takes" to ensure project success
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Experience working with others to achieve company and team goals
• Strong project management skills
• Excels at Client Management.

Miles Technologies, a leading developer of inventory control and asset tracking applications has an immediate opening for a Software Programmer. The ideal candidate will have experience developing barcode or RFID software applications. Demonstrate an ability to work from project specifications and requirements that are developed by our Pre-Sales Application Engineers.

Keys to the successful applicant: ability to listen, good attention to detail, proficiency in developing software solutions according to project specifications and database experience. The ability to do demonstrations of Miles software applications is a plus. Proficiency in the following programming languages is required; VB.net, ASP.net, C#, Java, SQL and MCL experience a plus.
