Miles Technologies has partnered with Reva Systems, a leading developer of RFID network infrastructure products, to offer integrated asset tracking solutions which are now available for demonstration at Miles' Chicago-area Technology Integration Center.

Utilizing EPC Global's ALE standard, Miles Technologies' asset tracking software consumes accurate RFID data supplied by Reva's TAP controller. The Technology Integration Center implementation showcases an RFID infrastructure made up of Reva's TAP 331 appliance controlling and communicating with 7 RFID readers from 5 different manufacturers.

12/26/2007 Monsanto Hopes to Sow Benefits by Tagging Seed Packets - The company's Agracetus division is set to launch a pilot next month to evaluate RFID for tracking cases of experimental seeds.

Monsanto, a multinational provider of bioengineered agricultural products, is planning to launch a technology trial in which it will evaluate the use of passive RFID tags to identify individual seed packets shipped from its Agracetus research and development facility in Middleton, Wis., to its network of test farms, where new, genetically engineered seed is tested.
